I am waiting to see the dawn today.
I own my time.
Time, as known, disappeared.
It became circular, spiral, repeating, shattering notions of linear progress.
Space needed to come into its own fullness, and within that space, Silence was necessary.
It is thus that the “Scioppero delle Arti, Arts on Strike” be-came. Everything, ever, created by human hand: painted, drawn, sculpted, collaged, written, was reversed, inversed, placed upside down, and, if none of those were possible, it was covered. Much to the discomfort of guests and viewers who noticed the InVerse, and not of any discomfort to the guests and viewers who did not notice ... any of it.
The “Scioppero delle Arti, Arts on Strike” did not involve a pause in the creative process; it remained that any new work would firmly be placed facing inwards.
As notions of Time had slipped from linear to intangible, there was no Timeline to indicate a conclusion to the Silence.
